    EDWARD WEISENBACH, 80, EAST BRUNSWICK

    Edward Richard Weisenbach passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 80.

    Born in Irvington, he resided in East Brunswick over 45 years. Mr. Weisenbach was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Weisenbach was a quality control inspector for the U.S. Government for over 35 years before he retired in 1982.

    He was a life member of the NRA, and a life member of VFW Post 133 in East Brunswick.

    He was an operations officer for the East Brunswick Township Office of Emergency Management.

    Mr. Weisenbach was an amateur radio operator. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and was an avid woodworker.

    He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Dorofachuk) Weisenbach, who died in 2002, and a daughter, Cheryl Weisenbach. Surviving are his three sons, Jay A. Weisenbach and his wife, Doreen, of Edison, Eric R. Weisenbach and his wife, Nancy, of South River, Wayne H. Weisenbach and his wife, Nicole, of Randolph; his two brothers, Robert F. Weisenbach of Panama City, Fla., and Herbert Weisenbach of Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren, Breanna C., Dawn, Jay and Michelle, and a great-granddaughter, Alexa.

    Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery in North Brunswick. Calling hours are 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today (Friday) at Rezem Funeral Home.
