    For those of you that use Echolink, There's a new RF link available at the Eastside of The Valley of the Sun, Phoenix / Mesa, AZ. The link has good coverage for Southeastern Phonex, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek and points South and East. Operational 24/7, all Licensed Amateur Radio Operators are welcome to use the link anytime. If you are unfamiliar with Echolink, check out the main Echolink website at: http://www.echolink.org

    Echolink can be used to connect to other Hams around the world using RF Links and the Voice Over IP Protocol with their computers on the Internet.

    PL Tone........... None at this time (If tone is activated, check website for update)
    RF Power......... 50 Watts Alinco 2 Meter DR-135
    Interfacing....... WB2REM U.L.I.
    Antenna.......... Diamond 2 Mtr/440 Repeater antenna 8.3db gain at 70 feet.

    To test if you are in range of the link, tune to 145.550 simplex, announce your Call Sign and send a * from your touchtone keypad. If you are in range, the system will respond with "ECHOLINK KG4PRF LINK".

    You can get a list of stations currently connected to Echolink by going to http://www.echolink.org or you can download the software to your computer at: http://www.echolink.org/register_data.asp You are not required to load the software to connect when using a radio within range of a Echolink Repeater or Link.

    Connect to Node 27619 on 145.550 simplex, Mesa, AZ and call CQ anytime
