    I installed echolink on my Motorola model Moto g 6. I have Android version 8.0.0.

    I have listened to some transmissions on dodropin. My problem is when I try the echo test to see if I can transmit, I hear nothing, as if I can't transmit.

    Any suggestions on how to fix the problem.

    Thank you,

    I would make sure that you have granted the Echolink app permissions for the microphone. I have a Moto X running the same version of Android.

    Go to Settings->Apps & notifications->See all * apps->Echolink->Permissions

    The only two permissions that the Echolink app requests are microphone and location. I have location disabled, but microphone enabled and it works perfectly.

    If that does not fix it, connect to the Echotest node and hit 'transmit.' Do you see the signal indicator at the very bottom of the screen moving as your speak?
