Yes, it certainly did. I never applied for any award prior to LOTW because it was major pain both in time and money. LOTW came along and what the pain was (mostly) gone!

Glad to see you're still working new ones. The first 100 are the easiest. But sometimes you have a good month and pick up several. The good news is, you can never get every one, on every band, on every mode. So you will never run out of challenges to enjoy. If it was easy, anyone could do it. Keep after 'em. After this Covid business runs its course the DXpeditions will start again. Just in time to take advantage of an uptick in sun spots.
The numbers I post are the number confirmed. Of course the number worked is greater, but until a Q is actually confirmed, I don't count it. It's funny - sometimes a new one will be on LOTW before I can even get my file uploaded, and others take a year or more. But of course that's all part of the game. And even is one could somehow "work them all"....pretty soon the list would change. Yes, the DXpeditions will hopefully start up again. Also contest activity from DX locations activated by amateurs from other countries. CQWW is behind us, ARRL DX is just ahead.... Many thanks for the encouragement and the many SS and CWT QSOs! 73 es HNY de Jim, N2EY 25 zones confirmed for WAZ...
Had a couple come in this week for 80 meters. A Spanish station and A Peru. That brings me up t0 71 worked and confirmed on 80, which is the last band to fill in for five band DXCC. A true Burtism: No one "needs" a DX confirmation we want them...

Great Job on the 40M DXCC, Jim. Heard you call me on 0300 CWT, but you didn't come back to my report. Just finished up enough to get my "DXCC Challenge" award. That was a tough one!
