So I had to move my sdr dongle from direct connect to a powered USB hub. Only now no software I have will start. Console, SDR#...nadda. I've reinstalled Console. I've re run Zadig. I've rebooted the computer. I've uninstalled everything and started from scratch. What am I missing here? Using Win 7 Home.

Bad hub? Is the dongle showing up in device manager?

Hub is fine. Everything that I can check appears normal. :(

Connect it direct, does it work again?

How much power does your hub provide on the port you are using ?

What kind of hub is it ? USB2 or 3.

Some USB3 hubs only have 1 or 2 ports that provide full power.

You say "Only now no software I have will start."

The software should still start, Even if the Dongle is unplugged.

If I plug the dongle directly into the computer it works fine. The hub provides 5v to each port. I only have the dongle plugged in. When I say the software won't start I mean when I press the start button in the program nothing happens. The program itself does open.

I have found that issue with hubs. Sometimes they work and sometimes not. Might have to try a different brand.

SO Guess it didn't dingle all the way.

5 Volts does not mean a lot, Depends on the load.

Most SDR dongles that I have tested require 600 mA or more, Just above the 500 mA that most USB ports provide.

:D Nope. There is something wrong with that specific usb port, which is located on the front of the case. I got an extension and plugged the whole operation into a port on the back of the computer and it's been running perfectly for days now.
