    Hi,
I'm looking to purchase the SLCAB4R cable from signalink to allow my signalink to talk with my old Midland XTR radio.

I have a weird feeling that this radio does not output an audio feed on this cable. I may be mistaken, could someone confirm or deny that for me before I purchase this cable?

    Thanks!

The Midland Radio you have is a Land Mobile / Business Band version.
Signlink references are for the 13-510 2-meter FM model sold in 1976 (anateur radio market).

RF Connection sells MP4F (female) and MP4M (male) connectors at $1.50 each

See that's what I thought. My meter wasn't giving me any signal on any pins other than 5v for the PTT. So I assumed that there was no audio output on that connector. The rear connector definitely has audio output though. According to the manual of my radio, the rear connector is used to interface the external speaker, mic hook, jumper for the internal speaker, and power. It also shows pinouts for each.

I was just looking for a simpler way to interface my radio to my signalink because I can't hit any gateways with my HT.

    Thanks for the info!
