Do dipoles require baluns?

    Build a fan dipole. Just add wires for 40m to your existing balun and cover 2 bands. Or more if you have room for end supports.

    I have a couple of dipoles with no balun, and 3 fan dipoles with baluns.

    The ones without baluns are noisier.


    As for antenna switches, "lowest price" and "good" usually don't go in the same sentence.
