    Yes and CB had UHF privs also. Today that part of CB is now called GMRS on UHF and MURS on VHF. FCC Part 95

    Your older than I am, certainly you knew about CLASS A and CLASS B CB before Class "D" 27mhz was created.

    I simply saw the radios in an Employer's personal collection in 1979 "Jerry's CB". In fact he had [now passed] the largest Complete Heathkit collections of all the products they made that currently still fill a late 1800's type warehouse downtown. [used to be in an old school building but the township made him move]

    Also has the remaining inventory of all the downtown Electronics stores that closed down here in the 80s, all the tube racks, testers.

    A very small section of one of the 3 floors , that room behind him extends to 6 times the width of this picture and the area is also about 7 times as deep.

    Amazing what the money of selling CBs in the hay day allowed a Ham to collect.

    merciful heavens.
    i had an uncle who had a room that housed all the heathkit stuff that HE had built.
    army radio school at fort monmouth during korea worked well for him.
