After a recent update to bio the pictures on my page have disappeared? My callsign was changed and QRZ where informed so that they could update my details, since then my pictures disappeared. I did do a past reload of the page to reinstate but they have gone again. Is there someone that can advise me on this. Regards Steve.
The most common cause of this is improper uploading of pictures, either by hosting them on another site and the link changes or dragging and dropping them into the bio. Be sure to follow the guidelines in THIS EXCELLENT GUIDE by M7OJA.
There are a number of possible causes but the reason for this is that the link between the bio picture entry and the actual picture has gotten broken. Pictures are stored on a different server. When this happens, no amount of refreshing or reloading old versions is going to fix it. Edit your bio, select a broken picture and right click on it. Select "Image Properties" then click "Browse Server". Select the image that should have been there and click save. That should restore your pictures that got broken. 73, Steve KF8KI
Sorry to drag this up. found after a search. I have added some new pictures today and found that lots of my others are now suddenly broken? (broken image logo in top left corner) I mean LOTS. Like it would take me hours to do what you are suggesting above. Is there no other fix? And why the hell does this happen anyway? Regards Dean M5DR
Well, Dean, you made me look. I saw lots and lots of pictures on your site. But, since I wouldn't know which ones you're trying to add, my input is probably worthless...
Something weird going on. Pics show in the preview but then not on the page! I've fiddled and relinked the images and got a few working but there's something definately a miss with the pic host or editor!
I see 12 pictures on your page - perhaps you've already fixed the issue. If not, I'd suggest forcing a refresh of your page on your browser by pressing ctl+F5. It's possible you have a broken page in your cache and your browser is using it instead of getting an updated copy.
