Knobs. BIG knobs.
The radios i have do more than i will ever need. So my dream rig would be high end lab gear from Tech or Rhode and Swartz. 4 channel Oscope, spec an, vna, power supplies, function gen. A pick and place machine and reflow line. Nothing like spending a couple hundred grand to make a DC receiver.
I have one of those,it's called an OMNI V
Omni V has a microphone. That's superfluous to my needs.
Put the mic in a box in the attic so you can brag someday that you can’t remember where it is.
This is too low?
TOM K8ERV Montrose Colo
Anything that wouldn't put me in a bind. Although something different would be nice. Not necessary, but nice. Probably will be a 7300 or similar.
Waaaayyyyyy out of my budget. But an OF can dream, right?
I will have had my K3 for 12 years this coming January. Single RX, no panadapter, 100w. It’s as close to my ideal radio as I’ve ever owned. The only thing I really wish it had was the second RX option, and I can add that anytime I want. I’d sooner send it back to Elecraft for a complete update to latest K3S hardware spec before I’d replace it with a new radio.
I like my IC-7300, but wish it had 2 more features:
1. Internal 2-tone test signal
2. Distinct overall screen color change when in SPLIT mode
