RIISE, (Ham Operator Handle K5AVT), 82 of Irving, died Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Vitas Inpatient Care Unit in Carrollton. Born on May 13, 1937 in Tucson, Arizona, he has lived in Irving most of his life. He married Margaret Woods February 16, 1974 in Oak Cliff, Texas. He was a retired electrical engineer, a member of Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, the Irving Amateur Radio Club, and an active member of the Confederate Air Force. Dennis served his country in the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife Margaret of Irving; daughters, Janet Brown and husband Pat of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Cathryn Riise of Irving, Texas, Sarah Riise of Carrollton, Texas; and four grandchildren, Wesley Turner, Holli Brown, Travis Brown, and Matthew LaBine. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be having a memorial service at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorials be made in Dennis’ honor to the charity of your choice.
