I get mine from DXE.
When I checked with them last week, they said they were "out of stock". But I'll check again, for sure.
They may be, it's been a few months since my last order.
I ordered 2 x 100' rolls of 3/16 black Dacron rope from Cheapham.com, which offered the lowest price I could find. Total charge was $28.85. It arrived in about 4 days. The Dacron line is MUCH easier to deal with than para cord.
No doubt it's easier to work with than paracord. I'm looking for 3/32" though. I'll check with them and see if they have that size. Thanks.
Edit: NOPE...........only 3/16". But thanks for the tip.
I always buy on Ebay here from dedicated rope sellers. Ive yet to find a multi product small ham shop close to competitive.
Whats so special about 3/32" ?
Please, no laughs but I have used "weed trimmer" cord for years. It is ultra light weight, doesn't soak up water, fairly UV resistant, cheap and available everywhere. I like sizes larger than .060. My latest color, orange, seems to be doing well.
How is it at holding knots? What knots do you use?
