I'm impressed. A troll topic that hasn't gone awry yet. You guys must've gotten your Geritol early
I'm 34 and you'll find me on CW almost every day (unless it's constant storms like the past few days, but I managed to squeeze in a QSO).
Is it my favorite mode? Yes!
Do I think it is the best mode? Yes! Why else would I operate it almost exclusively?
Everyone has their favorite mode and reasons why they think it is the best, and that doesn't detract from anyone else enjoying their favorite mode.
I will say, CW (and the bands) are not dead! I can't even remember the last time I got on the radio and failed to make a qso. It's pretty normal to have DX respond to my generic CQ, and there is always something going on around the SKCC frequencies.
Get on the air and call CQ on your favorite/best mode!
Shower, ****, and a shave. What more can you ask outta life?
"I feel pretty, Oh so pretty....."
What more? Let me count the ways... (A winning lottery ticket comes in there, somewhere.)
It was that long ago. maybe last week or so, think it was here on qrz.
to reply to my post...I have also tried JS8CALL and it's ok...but it's very hard to make a contact and have any kind of a qso, so I go back to psk and cw. I'm proud to know the code. as an older ham told once, " the code separates the men from the boys. "
Every musician can play a piano, and every ham should know how to play CW.
To me FT8 nowadays/ it's just a Beacon mode to check Band conditions. It's very useful in that respect to me.
Then I turn
to CW or a voice mode.
CW is not forgotten.
