I might suggest another alternative for "solid copy" type QSOs, at the 10-15 WPM range. get an old cell phone with the "vibrate" motor (which I'm pretty sure is just an unbalanced little counterweight spinning around, or some kind of solenoid) Find out what voltage it operates on, and then get ahold of an inexpensive power supply or rechargeable batteries. Take the audio circuit and a high Q bandpass filter that permits only the zero-beat audio frequency your rig is set for to go through. Lets say a typical 800 Hz audio tone...now, rig up a transistor circuit to go hi/lo with the impulses of the CW, and then drive a relay with it that energizes your little motor (or perhaps the current draw of the motor will be low enough that a power MosFET will suffice) Now, you have something that you can hold in your hand, or against your fingertips, to read code. The vibration mechanism will "sing" the code to you through your fingertips!
