Hi All, Check out the Crystal Radio DX Contest group on Facebook. The DX contest from the early 2000's has been revived and will take place in January, so there is still time to build a CR and participate. I just finished building and testing out my set for this year - the Franken-Dyne.

Yes, please. I participated in a number of those earlier ones and it would be fun to dust off the old setup and try again, but alas, no FB.
Back in 1962 or so, my dad's best friend gave me an Allied Radio crystal set kit. Built that and my dad put up a 200 foot antenna for me from the house to equipment garage. It worked great, and started my interest in radio big time. Only hazard was the static build up during winter winds as it would knock me to the floor!
