Dave is not a ham. He is THE ham.

Absolutely! The only thing I use repeaters for is to check into my club repeater net each week. But living with mountains all around me, there's TONS of Summits on the Air (SOTA) activity, and it's usually on 52 (sometimes 58). I've talked to some really interesting folks on mountains.

But George just takes the grand prize for cool factor in so many ways :)

Sometimes you just got to ham it up while under parachute.

Next time I skydive up at Snohomish I am going to get with Dave prior, have him point his beam south (I'll be to the north) and we will make it work from 13,000+ ft AGL.
