WA7CS writes "According to the ARRL online poll regarding participation in the most recent ARRL Sweepstakes CW contest, less than
12% of respondents participated in the contest.

During this most recent contest, use of the CW portion of the bands was essentially impossible unless an Amateur was a
    contest participant.

I enjoy the contests, to some degree, but I vehemently resent being practically banned from pursuing my hobby during these
    contest weekends.

Promoters should consider restricting these contests to a specific frequency band so that the vast majority (over 88%) of Amateurs can
enjoy some reasonable access to their hobby.
