    Yes, ARK, I use the AA600 software to not only wideband my 80M dipole with a section of RG11 but also to adjust some of my antennas for a better SWR by using sections of RG11. But it does not always work. Conditions have to be right. It's interesting in the AntScope software I can open the 'add cable' dialog box and in the Smith chart view watch the antenna curve rotate around the center by adding lengths of RG11. The SWR view shows the same thing but in the SWR relm. It actually works too in reality.

    The theory is pretty dry, but it is defined - not subject to "what happens" voodoo guessing.
    Theory was always there, it was not invented by modeling software.
    It is just easier to implement, but hard to swallow....

    Yes, I know it's not voodoo. Didn't mean to give that impression, but it's always very interesting when all the math and vectors work out as predicted. It's not what I would call intuitive. The software just makes it very simple and visual.
