COLLINS GOES CAMPING WITH THE CUB SCOUTS

While others talk about bringing youth into our hobby, here is a story about a group of hams that participated recently in the worldwide Jamboree of the Air worldwide.

Collins Radio Association member, Mike Cizek, W3MC, did a story for the CRA website at www.collinsra.com in the Collins Album section for December, 2002, that you may want to read. Talk about some enthusiastic Cub Scouts learning about ham radio. The real thrill for these hams must have been to see all the smiles on the faces of these youngsters. I wonder how many knew what a Collins KWM-2 was or what a tube is!
