Can someone point me at a good tool for crimping RG8x and RG58 coax fittings and a source for the fittings?
    THANKS

Which ever you choose, a good (or even decent) crimp tool will NOT be cheap. But assembled correctly, with the correct tool and die, crimp connectors are supposedly as good as soldered connectors.

Personally I don't use crimp connectors but if you are going that route I agree with the others. Buy the best you can and practice with it before you put anything up in the air.

    Soldering irons are cheap.

Thanks all. I have made a ton of soldered versions and they all worked, just seems a PITA.
