Just now (April) got the first reply. This tells me they are over worked and aren't interested in working on models that aren't much used, like the IC-T70. He says that it's my cable..... even though I can download just fine. The problem is in the upload, which it won't do without crashing the radio all the way back to factory settings. I'm very happy the Baofengs are still hot models so they will keep mine working with chirp and I'll have an official radio in the IC-T70 should the Feds get serious about shutting them down. Ken
Well, sorry to hear that, but that is the nature of Open Source and free projects. Limited programming help and limited time usually means making a trade-off somewhere.
The IC-T70A is fairly easy to program, although if you have lots of channels already, it can become unwieldy. Same if you need to clone settings to other radios.
