N2PSV (SK) Clark Walter Smith was born May 25, 1955 in Plainfield NJ. Grew up there. US Navy from age 18, December 1973-April, 1976. Started in Connecticut, and completed his duty on the USS Dash MSO-428. He returned to Plainfield to work in the Electronics field for years, obtaining his Amateur License pretty much right after he left the Service. Of course with the 11m fad all around him, he would try to keep his local non-amateurs to a higher standard in which they generally did. In March of 2018, after suffering a couple of minor strokes, he lost his house and we moved him out here to Ohio (into our house,) and in about three months he was on his own again with a new apartment. He was happy with his new situation, but suffered a couple of more minor strokes while here also, all the time still doing his online radio show airing on The Beyond Radio Network called "Venison Stew." Since leaving NJ he was off-the-air, and I was in the process of trying to figure a way to get him back on-air despite the restrictions of his apartment for a reasonable cost. We discussed it on 6/27/20. It turned out I was too late. He had a large stroke on 7/8/2020, was hospitalized on a ventilator until 7/27/20 when he ultimately did not recover from that last major stroke. He is interred in the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
    RIP Clark.
