This is cool! It is good to remember and celebrate history. Imagine, almost 100 years ago. My how times have changed, eh? :)

    The first QSO...

    1MO : 8AB, hello, Leon, how's it going?
8AB : Doin' fine 1MO, though the XYL was givin' me grief last night.
    1MO : How so?
8AB : Well, she was complaining about me making too much noise working on this thing.
1MO : Bummer. My XYL does the same thing. Sez I should cut the grass instead of tinkering with wires.
8AB : Ain't that the truth. Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em.
1MO : Yeah, for sure. Buy her some chocolates. She'll come around.
8AB : Bought her some expensive French perfume, didn't work.
1MO : Gotta be chocolates, Leon. Trust me.
8AB : OK, will try that.
1MO : Well, this seems to work, anyway.
8AB : Yeppers. We need a way to sign off, though.
    1MO : OK, how about "73"? It's my mom's age.
8AB : Good as anything, Fred.
    1MO : OK. 73 Leon.
    8AB : 73 Fred.

    :D

If you would like, I can move this notice to "Special Events" where it might get more exposure for your event.

Just reply back here if you would like this
