Before I became a HAM (hence no call sign yet) I created a QRZ account under my email to study for the test. I passed. Now I can neither add my call sign KO4RAI or create a new account with my call sign and use my email (says my email is already used). HELP
Before I am flamed, you cannot contact the SUPPORT section with an "email" account, it is only for call sign members, which is my catch 22
You can send an email to support@qrz.com to request a user name change to your callsign. Be sure to include documentation showing that you are actually the licensee. Once you receive notification that it has been completed, log out and then log back in using your new callsign as your username but with the same password you previously used. This is a very common occurrence and it shouldn't take too long for this to get done. You do not need to add your callsign to the database. All US callsigns are automatically added during the near-daily downloads from the FCC. Neither we nor you are able to add them manually. As it stands, your callsign is already in the system.
