I just purchased a Yaesu FT-840 with the CAT hardware included. I am looking for suggestions and user feedback regarding CAT control software as well as logging programs that interface with the CAT program.

    Thank you very much.

I have the perfect app for you. Its put out by DX Labs. It has a CAT control program (Called "Commander") and a logging program (among others) that are completely integrated. When you have them all running, simply punch in the call sign of your contact, hit the "Enter" key and the CAT reader will fill in just about everything else. Additionally, there is a DX spot collector with the app. If you click on a particular spot report, the CAT program will take the radio to that frequency mode and log into your logger, ready for you to hit the "Start" button.

And best of all, its all FREE. Check it out at
