Having an instructor-led course to get your Advanced ticket surely has some value. Kwitcherbitchin and spend a few bucks to upgrade. I wish there was something like this back so many years ago when I was studying for my Certificate of Proficiency. The exams in the Sixties were a lot harder with schematics and oral questions from the DoT Radio Inspector........... still wonder how I made it through.

RAC is just a private corporation like the ARRL. You can study on your own and go to an industry canada office and take the test with a $20 fee. See the link about licensing on industry canada's website below.

I also took the Advanced course offered by RAC and VE9CB from April-June 2020. Dave VE9CB also took my exam remotely and I passed with 50/50 - 100% ! Thank you Dave and thank you RAC. And yes, I just renewed by RAC membership with MLO again.

73 and good luck to the next batch for Advanced Course/Exam
