That plating never looked like real copper to me. Maybe some type of alloy? A number of old domestic radios in the 30s had copper plated chassis and they don't look the same.
The total teardown that would be required is a big effort. Probably easier to find a better specimen!

AND integrity of chassis/sub-chassis grounds and the like.

Tomato juice. Just ask anyone who's cleaned a copper frying pan.

You don't know Drake chassis. The copper is gone.

Tomato juice is highly acidic. Probably not a prudent course of action.
Doesn't do that much for skunk exposure, either.

Consider using this hulk as a parts-unit. You can buy a readily restorable T-4X -B - C at

a hamfest for about $125. With this carcass you've got an entire PTO assembly that's probably fine,

double-gang potentiometers, plastic dials, meter and numerous mechanical parts that are otherwise

unobtainable and will be quite useful to you at some time.

The T-4 did not have a PTO.

I highly doubt it's a T-4. I had assumed the OM was referring to it as a T-4 in the generic "series"

sense. Very few manufactured, never seen one in my life. Hope I'm wrong.

    Beats me.

    He wrote "T-4."

I've not only seen them, I had one. It works fine with an R-4B. Just can't do "split" with it, which is a pretty big handicap.

Sure. Remove any usable components and Ebay them. Tie a cable through a tube socket hole and fill chassis with cement.

The serial no. in the photo is wiped out. A T4 will have a very small serial no. I have number 034.
