Can someone please help me manually program a baofeng for repeater use..i have the parameters

I haven't tried that one, but there weren't any fit problems with my UV5R or my BF-F8HP.

Overall I'd agree that chirp is the best way, but it's great to know how to do it without.

I made a cheatsheet for direct programming, it has helped for travel.

 

These radios are not hard to program once you master the menu. A bit tedious, perhaps, but no more difficult, technical, or challenging than any other aspect of ham radio in general.

I know chirp makes it easy. Some friends have it. I have never used it, have 70-80 channels programmed in a couple UV82s. Pays to know how to do it on the fly.
