I am a Canadian and I’m currently in the process of studying and hopefully sitting for my certification exam in November so I don’t have my call sign yet. Back when I joined in mid August I could view the buy and sell forum but it is no longer present on the forum list for me. Has something changed on my account? Thanks for your help Mike
Not sure why you were able to see it earlier, but until you are licensed and have full "Ham Member" status you won't be able to see and use the classified sections.
Correct. As of yesterday, only "Ham Members" or "Subscribers" may see the Ham Gear for Sale forum. Prior, "username only" members could see the ads but couldn't post in the forum. But now, you must be at least a Ham Member to even see the ads. Sellers have been plagued with "keep the change" scammers - answering an ad with "I will send you a bank check for $100 more than your asking price. I know you don't take checks so just keep the change for taking the trouble to take the check to your bank" and of course it's always a scam. Dave W7UUU
