Hi, I'm a ham, D44ab, name - Daniel L. Tavares, originally from the Cape Verde Islands (Where I was born and lived until age of 20, when I travelled to the UK, after finishing High School. No Universities at that time in the Islands) and now also I'm AC1BO - Extra Class, since 2013. I've been living here in the US for 27 years (Boston, MA, and Pawtucket, RI). I was recently, September 2024, in D44 Land, for a 2 weeks vacation with XYL. GREAT TIME AFTER MANY YEARS WITHOUT VISITING THE COUNTRY (13 YEARS). I've been trying two get in touch, with members of the D4C Radio Club, sadly only with "non-national" ham members, as far as I am concerned, BUT NO LUCK SO FAR. I even emailed one of the members, without no reply at all! I'd like to know a little bit about history of the club: The Foundation, Membership, Headquarters, Place where meetings are held, etc.? Would you be able to facilitate a contact with one of club's members, either by email or phone (also any other form of communication of preference)? I'm OK on Facebook, WhatsApp and Messager, if preferred. 73 - D44AB/AC1BU - Dan daniel_tavares@msn.com Cel. +1 857 2589524
