Build your own DX Commander Multifan Vertical Antenna

Why should he?

Please don't tell us we 'should' see this --or any video for that matter. It is disrespectful to take away our freedom of choice . 'Could' not 'should'. No one should be shamed to do anything. Respect choice.

It is up to us, separately (as members), as an audience.

The title of a video is the hook that informs the viewer on the subject. We looked at the video BECAUSE it says: 'DX Commander'. It is not a 'DX Commander'.

I LIKE W9FFF's video. I hope he does more antenna videos.

But I would NOT have looked if it didn't say 'DX Commander'. So it does, by title, conflate a home made fan monopole with an extant product.

Sorry Chip, it was a recommendation prior to making assumptions on the topic matter. It has zero to do with infringing on anyone's freedom, I am not forcing anyone. It is a suggestion. I'm sorry if you think a post here is manipulating your freedom.

Why would anyone need to watch a video to intelligently speak of its content? Title is topic. Sum of the video is the content. Woe is me.

 

I'm missing the relevance of "Hexbeam" to this. Moxon G6XN described the antenna long before anyone tried to commercialise it.

 

There we go, in a thread on this very forum the man himself said "This is purely an accidental product! But I really do encourage people to make their own. Many have done so".

Great video. I am a Sub of DX commander as of late. Ive purchased a VNA and after 10 years of being licensed. I have finally figured out That antennas arent some mystical device. You can make them and take the time enjoying them or you can purchase them both. Ive done both even before the VNA and surprisingly the difference has been minimal. Videos like this demystify things for me. much appreciated.

This is awesome, I am amazed at the amount of people who have obviously NOT watched the whole video and the same people have not watched any of Callum's videos where he discusses helping people build clones ! Callum's attitude is the reason I own 1 DX commander pota/sota unit and now buying the classic! Also the fan dipole Idea is old but works really well and he has put together a nice package for people who don't have time to build stuff from scratch. He is laughing at everyone on this thread right now!
