Have Vhf/Uhf and Hf But never tried DMR before also our radio club wants to build a DMR repeater and it would be good to get used to it ! thanks

 

I use DMR to communicate with friends and family. I am wanting to set my son up on DMR and this would be a great way to do it.

I am a new amateur radio operator, I received my license this past month Officially posted like the 3rd of July, I have been listening to the radio for quite sometime and have officially made 2 contacts so far this month. Already own another brand of DMR HT and do not currently own anything from AnyTone, would like the experience and besides my wife is a ham so she will end up with one of the DMR HT's.

Why would I like to win this rig? One reason is I would love to win one of these , since being on a tight senior's budget I am not able to afford one,or much of anything beyond the basic needs.

I just renewed my license and it would be a nice incentive to get more active with a new mode and new radio
