My nephew wants to get his ham licence. I've been teaching him the basics, such as DC, AC circuits, operating procedures, rules and regs.
He needs books. Which ones are recommended? Were is the best place to get them. He needs to go from the start to general.

The ARRL License Manuals for Tech and General are pretty good. If you order the Tech book now, you will get the new book that's oriented to the new question pool, which goes into effect on July 1.

Looking at the new questions, it looks like the Tech is getting quite a bit harder.
If your son is close to getting his ticket, you should try to find the License Manual with the current question pool in it, and have him take the test before the end of June. Otherwise, it won't hurt to learn the new material, much of which was old material that was removed the last time around.
