    Hi All,

I am in the process of repairing a Bird wattmeter element, '25C' (25W, 100-250MHz). The internal diode appears to be open. It’s a small, glass encapsulated diode, with no visible markings. Any idea which diode the folks at Bird actually used, or what diode would be a good substitute?

Years ago, I used the 1N82 for repairing a Bird element.
It worked, but I am not sure if it was the original.

appears to be just a normal small signal glass diode: 1n34-1n914 and newer equivalents.

Some zeners are made in the same glass package.
Info ought to be online regarding the diodes used, I would expect.
