My sincere condolences to Bill's family. The last time I wrote to him while he was back at home after the accident he was still on good spirit. RIP Emil ZS6EGB
Bill Moore was a good guy who did a great job running the DXCC program at the ARRL. I had spoken with Bill many times over the years and he was always ready to listen to suggestions and comments. The ARRL has never replaced Bill and the League does not have a DXCC Manager. I have achieved the ARRL #1 DXCC Honor Roll and was an ARRL member for 30 years. This year I have not renewed my membership. I am totally fed up with the way the ARRL has thumbed down the DXCC program. They never appointing a new DXCC manager to replace Bill and all the League seems interested in is generating money. The QST has more advertising pages in it than meaningful articles. I have been in Amateur Radio for over 53 years and am totally disappointed with the direction of the ARRL. RIP Bill, you will not be forgotten... Bob W4ETN
I am very very sad that this so nice and patience guy has gone. We exchange a lot of e-mail during his service at the DXCC bench over the years. so sad to loose you still so young. May you rest in peace my friend,
