    William F. “Bill” Dennis Jr., 75, passed away June 11 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.

    Bill was born July 12, 1941, in Elizabeth, N.J., a son of Elsie Paffrath and William F. Dennis Sr.

    Bill attended Cranford High School in New Jersey, Class of 1959, and George Washington University, Class of 1963, where he was a brother of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, Lambda Chapter.

    Bill proudly served with the 50th Armored Division, U.S. Army National Guard.

    Bill moved to Cheyenne in 1980 with Mountain States Tel & Tel, and retired from U.S. West Communications in 1998. He was a life member of Alaskan Malamute Club of America, a member of the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League and the Samoyed Club of America. Bill had an advanced ham radio license with the call sign KI1ZA.

    He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Cheyenne.

    Bill was joined in marriage to Sandra on Oct. 15, 1988, in Cheyenne.

    He is also survived by two children, Kevin Gallagher of Cheyenne and Karin Critelli (Tom) of Barnegat, N.J.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mitchell Critelli; a sister, Carol J. Dennis; nephew, William Vesey of Sebring, Fla.; and niece, Aimee (Jorge) Clavijo of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

    A vigil for the deceased will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Father Carl Beavers as celebrant. An inurnment service will follow at St. Mary’s Columbarium. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
