The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) plan to broadcast an item on the Today program on BBC Radio 4 this Friday November 3rd to commerate the 100th anniversary of the SOS.

The BBC put out a request for Amateur Radio morse operators to take part in the programme and they have now found some volunteers. I don't know which Amateurs they've got or how much morse will actually be used on the programme but I'm sure it'll be well worth listening to.

The BBC Radio 4 Today program goes out between 0600 and 0900 UTC on a frequency of 198 kHz which covers most of Europe. It is not known when during the program that the SOS item will be aired.

After it's been broadcast it should be possible to hear it on the BBC website at
