On March 11, 2025, the amateur radio community in Bangladesh came together for a memorable Iftar & Ham Gathering, hosted at Nizam Hall, Metro Scout Market, Kakrail, Dhaka. This event, organized by Bangladesh DX Club (BDXC), aimed to bridge the gaps created over time and bring hams from all across the country under one roof to share a meal, camaraderie, and discussions on the future of amateur radio in Bangladesh. A Gathering of Passionate Hams The event saw an overwhelming response, with around 135 operators & guests attending from various districts. Some notable attendees included S21L, S21MB, S21AM,S21RC and many others. Their presence and enthusiasm truly made the evening special. Operators from different corners of the country traveled long distances to be part of this gathering, reinforcing the spirit of the amateur radio community. Remembering Our Silent Keys While we celebrated our unity and shared a meal, we also took a moment to honor our fellow hams who are no longer with us. A special prayer session was held to remember our Silent Keys (SKs), whose contributions to amateur radio in Bangladesh will always be cherished. Event Highlights Networking & Story Sharing: Hams engaged in deep discussions about their experiences, technical advancements, and future projects. 433.500 MHz Coordination: To facilitate smooth communication, a dedicated frequency was used for coordinating arrivals at the venue. Future Plans: The success of this event has inspired us to make this an annual gathering on the 10th of Ramadan every year, ensuring that amateur operators always have a platform to connect and collaborate. Gratitude & Appreciation A huge thanks to the Bangladesh DX Club (BDXC) team, particularly the dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event a reality. Special appreciation goes to S21RC, S21HN, S21FIA, S21ACP, S21BDK, S21ABK, S21HMX, S21CMD, S21CAN, S21MOB and others for their relentless efforts in organizing and ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.
