Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2021 as the Year of Nizami Ganjavi in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
An outstanding representative of world literature, a brilliant Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi is one of the unique personalities who have opened a new page in the history of the artistic thought of mankind. The bright heritage of the great master, which has become an integral part of the spirituality of our people, has occupied a worthy place in the treasury of unique cultural values for many centuries.
The creative heritage of Nizami is a new tradition that has no analogues in the entire philosophy of the East, including in the Tajik-Persian culture.

It should be reminded that earlier the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, who always approached the classical Azerbaijani literary and cultural heritage from the standpoint of national commitment and patriotism, paid special attention to the heritage of Nizami.

It is safe to say that this anniversary will also bring new achievements to the Azerbaijani people, inspired by the poetry of Nizami. And these works will bear the stamp of a completely new, modern round of the history of Azerbaijan, consecrated by the Victory over the evil of Good and Justice.

In honor of this significant event, the Federation of Radio Amateurs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Central Collective Radio Station (4K0HQ) instituted commemorative diplomas for all radio amateurs who will take part in the competition dedicated to this date.

Wonderful. I know of him through my study of Jalaluddin Rumi and friends. I also watched a documentary in regard to the silk road and remember something about Nizami Ganjavi. This part of the world is sadly neglected by tourists, LOTS of history and an interesting culture. Thanks for posting.
