Recommend you abandon the idea of trying to sound like an FM broadcast studio, stick with good mics and minimum processing. You'll occupy far less bandwidth and have more money to spend on ham radio! [IMG]

Keep in mind that the VX2000 has a pretty minimal EQ compared to the W2IHY. Really, the VX2000 should be coupled with something like a DSP1124 or a DSP1100 by Behringer to really have full control of the small spectrum that we occupy. The 1124 is a real parametric EQ. The real advantage of the VX2000 is Phantom power, a downward expander and gate. This combination of course takes up more room than Julius' EQ, and you will likely have to pad the output to bring it down to usable levels in your rig.
