    the main filter caps on the primary side must discharge to reset the ocp.
    if the bleeders are open this may take a while.
    one could decrease the resistance of the bleeders to shorten the required off time at the expense of slight efficiancy loss.

    Wouldn't the 're-set off time' depend on the time constant of a capacitor holding the OCP ON, this 'could' be part of the opto coupler feedback


    It's that flux cap...... it's dried out!

    To all who suggested that, you nailed it. There was no bleeder. I put in 10K and now I get a reset in a minute (or maybe less).

    I'mma happy camper.

    I learned something.

    Hard to do.

    Harder to admit.

    Cool that you got it working.

    I don't think they bother to put a bleeder, because normally one is not needed.
