    You asked this same question on a September 9 , in the General Question Forum, with several answers. You concluded that assistance saying you agreed and disagreed with answers given.

    The clean (easy to read) schematic for the Astatic T-UP9 Stand is posted BELOW.

    Today, You have posted a Clearer Photo of your Astatic D-104 with a T-UP9 Desk Stand,
    the demonstrates your situation (and your confusion).
    RED, BLACK, YELLOW Microphone Cable wires are DISCONNECTED,
    and it appears wiring to the “Leaf Switch” contacts (Switchcraft) was changed.
    I Do Not see the 9 Volt battery Snap connector, wired to pre-amplifier board.
    ==
    The Astatic T-UP9 uses a six (6) Conductor Coil Cord (to radio), shown in schematic.
    FACTORY WIRING
    Black, Blue, Red (J,H,G) : Isolated PTT switch contacts
    Yellow, White, Shield(over White) (F, B, E) : Associated with Pre-Amplified Audio

    The Pre-Amplifier is on the Right Side of your Photo
    The “Leaf Switch” Contacts for the Push-to-Talk (PTT) Function are on Left Side

    IF You can not properly wire this Microphone, based on Picture in this Answer,
    Seek Technical Assistance in your Area (Hands On), possibly a Local Radio Club.

    LEAF Switch Contacts have existed for over a Century.
    First introduced with basic momentary switching and the Telephone Industry (Dial phone).
    Used with Push buttons, Levers, and Pulsed switching (Mechanical).
    ==
    You use the words Pyramid and Horizontal which is not Industry terminology.
    Switchcraft (Chicago) still makes Leaf Switches.
    Western Electric (AT&T) Hawthorne Works (Cicero, IL) was longtime mfg. and buyer.

    Shure Microphones (Skokie/Niles, IL) used Leaf switches for PTT (Make/Break)
    on their PA / Communication desk microphones (Shure 444, 450).

    PHOTOS of Leaf Switches (Examples) Below.

    Soldering on those Tabs is so BAD (True Hack — Soldering is a Taught Skill)
    I would remove ALL Wires and Solder (Wick and Flux) …
    and START FRESH. This microphone requires ability and skill to Rebuild Properly.
    Nine (9) Solder Tabs … Nine (9) Alphabet consonants in Order.

    WHICH One is “A” ?? EASY (from Schematic)
    1.) USE your VOM / DVM, Set to Continuity.
    2.) Start at One End of the Tabs , with First 2 tabs.
    3.) IF Continuity is present, those Tabs are J, H …. IF NOT, THEN A, B
    4.) You can TEST Function of remain8ng Leaf Switch contacts with your VOM.
    5.) WIRE According to Schematic, Use FRESH Wire (proper color) when needed.
