    Arthur Roland Craig, VE7CK SK

    CRAIG, Arthur Roland: November 13, 1919 - August 18, 2018.

With great sadness, the family of Arthur Craig announces his passing on August 18, 2018, at the age of 98 years.
He was predeceased by his dear wife, Mildred, and his grandson, Andrew. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by sons Richard (Carol Love), and John (Linda); grandchildren Heather (Steve) Crowe, Ian Craig, and Laura (Nathan) Ouellette; extended family, and many friends.

Dad was born and raised in Edmonton. He was commissioned as an officer, serving with the RAF on secret radar installations during World War II. After the war, he married his love, Mildred, and became owner and manager of Alberta Electrical Supplies in Edmonton.
Retirement took them to Kelowna in 1969.

Dad had a lifelong love of amateur radio, fishing, music, photography, and electronics, but his family was always the most important part of his life, and he looked forward to time spent with his loved ones, relating stories or sharing humorous anecdotes.

Dad was a man of strong character, devoted to family, community, and country, and enriched the lives of others through his commitment and service.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Good Samaritan Mountainview Village who provided Dad with care, friendship, and loving kindness over the past five years.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Society (Mountainview Village), the Alzheimer Society, or a charity of one's choice.

Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com
