It's about the kind of comic-strip rebuttal I'm learning to expect from you.
So "The" National Association for ___________ (fill in the blanks) are all falsehoods ?
Just look at all these "falsehoods" will ya? ...
Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you to fix everything.....
Not at all. If those titles are incorrect, their members can fix them.
A**L isn't fixable, so I'm probably going to pass on that one, too.
When it comes to the ARRL always follow the money
Good golly, people, get off the soapbox and get on the air! Try some CW … or some FT8.
Wait, I thought you were trying to encourage people to get on the air.
Truth will out!
Which is why I strongly suggested that everyone kvetching contact their Director prior to the upcoming Board meeting and TELL THEM this, amongst other things.
Instead, the kvetching here continues, and that’s as far as it goes.
Wow. Talk about a rabbit hole... "The" is the issue here?
No organisation is perfect. If it's important to you, work to fix it. Get involved. Or create a new one.
Endless complaining achieves zip.
Yes, I see that. You keep complaining about the people who are willing to talk about their unfortunate A**L experiences. That's like blaming the chicken for being eaten by the fox.
No, honesty is the issue. The definite article is just one more subtle way that A**L has avoided being honest, with the public, the FCC (who obviously knows better), and the membership.
Kind of like the organization we have been talking about -- achieving zip. Lots of talk, but no progress -- even when they promise it.
