    Absolutely not.
The test is just too easy to pass after being dummed down, and if they can't get off their LAZY asses and go take the test to upgrade their license then they all need to stay where they are.
I have no patience for laziness.

The first thing to learn is how to spell "dumbed-down". It only takes a few seconds to look it up, if you are not being lazy.

Not sure why anyone would become a ham these days.
A few tube audio guys are interested in the AM segment along with a few CB types, so they are trying to attract people to justify ham radio I guess.
Digital might attract some also, sort of bypass the internet/stealth type stuff I guess.

Don't you think this change, if adopted as proposed, would be of interest to AM operators, and affect AM operation particularly on 40m?

Not everyone who frequents this forum, regularly surfs all the others every day.

I don't even bother looking at the others, I have no interest in them.
