I have just made my contribution to ARRL's 2003 Spectrum Defense Fund.

Whether or not you agree with all of the ARRL's policies and/or initiatives, I think can can all agree no one else is: 1) looking out for and fighting threats to our existing spectrum, and 2) working to open up new bands such as 136kHz and 5 MHz.

Also, amateur spectrums will be subject to review and change during the upcoming World Radio Conference in Geneva. We have a lot to lose if we aren't prepared to justify our existing bands or the need for new spectrum.

So, even if you are not a member of the ARRL, please consider contributing to the fund. I think we can all agree that without our spectrum, none of us would be able to enjoy the many facets of Amateur Radio.
