Anyone with an Argonaut 509 and 405 amplifier to sell?

    405 was one.
    EDIT - Oops. We doubled.

Ask on the Ten Tec reflector. You shouldn't have much problem finding a 509. Now that 405 amp, that could be a little tougher.

Thanks. Did not know of these reflector sites. That will be handy information, since not everyone in the world uses the social media.

Yeah, there are still a few sane people on earth. :D

The problem is that there are so few people not obsessed by social media, it makes the appearance somewhat contrary.

    No problem.

I took the liberty and posted your query there already.

The 509 was a neat little rig in it’s day. I worked in a ham store for a few years, and we sold the 509 and then the 515, amongst other Ten Tec rigs (of course, this was back when the old Ten Tec still had dealers). I had a nice 505 for a while as well, but had to sell that off to raise a few shekels (along with some other stuff) when I had the opportunity to pick up an Omni VII.

    Good luck!

509 and 405 were a nifty little setup. Wish they still made them. :(

Bought the pair long ago - sold the 509, still use the 405 for my HW-7. Pretty slick amp.
