Are you active in NPOTA? Are you looking for a free awards park program when it ends in 2016?

I have a couple of questions. When does the WWFF part start and how do I go about sending info on a state park you may have missed? Also I know of at least one other wild flower viewing area on National Forrest service land. Would that qualify and how do I get the right person the info?

It's already happening actually so send me activation logs at anytime.

I purposely focused on standard state parks first. Others may be added in the future though.

There are a ton of national wildlife refuges as well. Please check out the site and get out there OM.

Awesome ideas guys. Just super. Hey, I'm thinking of something similar to NPOTA called M6OTA.

Hear me out. You park at any Motel 6 parking lot, and call CQ. If anyone answers you get a point.

If you actually check in, you get another point, and additional points (1 each) for any of the following:

1 point if the "complimentary" paper tells you President Kennedy has just died.
1 point if the mint on the pillow starts moving when you come close to it.
1 point if the "magic fingers vibration" is supplied by a chambermaid.
1 point if there is yellow crime scene tape around the bathtub.
1 point if the pictures are placed to cover up recent bullet holes.
1 point if you have to wait until the guy next door is done with the towel so you can use it.
1 point if there's a chalk outline in the bed when you pull back the covers.
1 point if the only TV station you can get is a porno channel featuring Roseanne Barr.
1 point if the wake up call comes courtesy of a bail bondsman.

So, what do you think? Award ceremony at Xenia next year?
Can we get the ARRL to write it up, maybe an MOU with the Motel 6 guys?

Nice to see ya Nobi. Congrats on launching the new program in Japan.

It is a goal of most portable operators to get JA and even VK at any time. Personally, I am going to try 15m, 17m, and 20m during optimum times per the VOACAP point to point propagation site. http://www.voacap.com/p2p/index.html. For Tokyo, for example, it appears that 17m at 22-23z would be a good time to try close to my QTH.

Winter early darkness makes this difficult because of the earlier park closures, but I think as spring approaches, this will become easier. Condx of course have not been ideal as well, and I hope that improves soon!

I definitely encourage all operators to call for DX only from time to time to allow all possible QSOs.
