    Today's thought provoking contribution:
Consider the ham who was first licensed in the no code era. He does not know Morse, has never used it (how would he), has no intention of learning it and doesn't even own (and never has) any type of key (why would he?).
When this ham goes on to the big ether in the sky will he be remembered as a "silent key" or not? If not, how will/should he be remembered?

    Surely he or she will...
After all she or he keyed their transmitter at least once in their lives.

Even No Code operators go to Heaven.

    No special treatment needed.

Of course he would. Why wouldn't he?

And if he didn't go to Heaven?

And I'm not an SK--the last time I checked.

Many no-coders use a key daily, how else do they tune up or set their amp?
Really another sad vield attack on the hams that came into amatuer radio. Many of those who did come in do know and use cw, just as many who became hams under the older system never touched a key after they passed, I know quite a few who have been licensed for 40 and 50 years that don't do cw.
I've done a bit of cw, made some contacts but it isn't my cup of tea at this time. But since I came in at the start of the new system, I will be continually flogged by smug self serving hams.

I see this a another troll post trying to justify the elitist attitude of some that know the code. I for another am quit proficient at the code but I just don't enjoy using it, not do I enjoy using the digital modes. I love to get into rag chews and most times that is all I'm looking for, trying to learn as I go from other people and their expirences. Yeah I know some of my spelling is wrong so now the grammar police can weigh in also.

SK no code means "S#it Kicker". Yes you may use this when you die. You have my permission.
