Are Ham Conventions Worth It?

Hello all.  It does cost a lot sometimes, but so does everything else these days.  Yes we need to do more for the new hams in helping them.  Yes it is a very very big undertaking in money and work to put on a hamfest and my hat is off to them and thank you.  I attend the Flagstaff Hamfest in July.  In the last 3 years it has been getting smaller and smaller and the cost of Fort Tuthill fair grounds is going up and up.  I was told this would be the last year at Fort Tuthill because it cost way too much and it would be held somewhere else.  I don't know this to be a fact, but just the thought worries me that it could end up gone, I hope not. Its a fun weekend and I loook forward to it each year.
